The exercises

Do 8–12 controlled repetitions of each. Return slowly — do not let the band snap back.

  • Seated row
  • Chest press
  • Biceps curl
  • Triceps press-down
  • Pull-apart at chest height
  • Seated leg press (band around foot)
  • Seated knee extension
  • Standing side step with band above knees (hold a counter)
  • Glute bridge with band above knees
  • Seated hip abduction — press knees outward

Safety first

  • • Talk with your doctor before starting a new exercise program, especially if you have a heart, lung, joint or balance condition.
  • • Stop and seek help if you feel chest pain, dizziness, unusual shortness of breath, or sharp pain.
  • • Move within a comfortable range. Mild effort is expected; pain is not.
  • • Anchor bands securely and keep them away from your face.
